People of #Mastodon, please educate me.
I'm probably doing something wrong, as I'm a pretty casual user - I come from the hashtag era where following a #hashtag was the way to get content onto your feed.
Unfortunately, this results in a bunch of posts appearing in #languages I cannot read, and while I love the international aspect of this, sifting through my #timeline has gotten old.
Other than unfollowing hashtags or blocking accounts, is there another way to prune my home feed?

Maybe filter out common words in the languages that you don’t want to see? Like, if you want to follow a beaches hashtag, but not see Spanish posts, set a filter for playa.
You could also mute accounts rather than block them.
@JMMaok This works, but is tedious and could easily be remedied with an option to not show any posts not in your native language.
I don't know common words in languages I don't speak, especially in languages that don't use my alphabet.
This could also easily be solved on my device by automatically #translating any language into my own, and noting the translation in the post. My device's processor is more than capable of doing this.
I heard that development was stopped / stalled on IceCubes, which was also my preferred app. But it has stopped working for me at all now. So you may have more luck pursuing a feature request through another app.
@JMMaok @IceCubesApp That's unfortunate. I rather enjoy the app, but I see that nothing has happened for the past 9 months.

I feel like I’ve seen a way to set my preferred language, but not sure what that does. Or where it was. 🙃
