A new Haaretz investigation says Israel is using militias in the Gaza Strip to commit war crimes.
Netanyahu said he activated clans in the Gaza Strip to oppose Hamas, while Israeli military officials themselves view the militia strategy as a dangerous gamble, knowing the groups cannot survive militarily without Israeli protection during their attacks on Palestinians.
