The fact that DSA doesn't seem to be aware of co-ops has really dampened my enthusiasm for them as an insurgent political force.

@nikolas This is spot on. So far, DSA has taken fairly traditional social-democratic stances, at least as far as I can tell. That's an improvement over what any Republican and most Democrats offer, to be sure. But, I'm more interested in bottom-up approaches. Governments can support that, but only indirectly, because any government action is top-down by definition. So, I can see where DSA might not get excited about indirect action.
