I can no longer in good conscious continue to upload videos to YouTube. In the last year, the company has bribed Donald Trump, allowed back dangerous anti-vaxxers they previously banned back, are using AI to alter videos without the creator's consent or knowledge, and so much more.

This is a spicy one.

If you need a laugh and want to learn about some of history’s most absurd inventions and patents, one of my favorite #YouTube researcher/storytellers made a 👨🏻‍🍳’s 💋 of a video.

One of them is a patent that involves… let’s say the ideas of a fidget spinner and an emergency brake to help with human childbirth. 😆

Their humor can be dark, but not edgelord. Cuz some of this shit *is* dark.

That's why i keep asking liberal media what their backup plan is. All liberal media is on #youtube. what happens when the orange tumor tells them to ban or demonetize liberal channels?

This is an excellent video essay about why movies don’t feel real these days that goes far beyond “CGI bad” (plus, it isn’t always bad).

It introduced me to film theory concepts like perceptive realism, indexicality, and haptic visuality. Wild stuff if you want a glimpse at more of the nuance in this discussion.
