#Boston #cycling and #mobility folks, this coming Tuesday (3 March) there is a public hearing at 2 PM to discuss "snow removal relief, the creation of a snow corps, and the purchasing of snow melters."

Virtual attendance is available as an option

The City failed to respond appropriately to the previous storm and it is unclear if they were adequately prepared to respond to this one. If you have any feelings about that, it'd mean a lot for your community if you showed up to that hearing.

This hearing seems to be a pretty direct response to the public statements of deaf-blind disability advocate Casandra Xavier about the casual horror of navigating #Boston after a storm:

Imagine what it is like to have any kind of mobility problems in Boston after a snow storm, especially with such a lackluster response by the City! Everybody has the right to get around on public ways.

They are doing better this time around, but I think they were still underprepared for the storm, and they should be made to answer for that failure of the general public.
