Might not be a good solution for you right now, but since I've been through a bunch of Samsung and OnePlus phones running custom ROMs (mostly based around LineageOS):
I can definitely recommend getting a used Pixel phone and running GrapheneOS on it. Super smooth to use and always up-to-date (security) updates. Only downside is that your banking apps MIGHT NOT work, in my case they do work luckily.

@sashin @graves501 @thejessiekirk All of the degoogled Android projects are riding on Google funded development and cannot survive without it. The only real alternative is #LinuxMobile. Now we have a decent-spec usable device for non-technical users, the #FLX1s from @furilabs at a pretty good price (currently $499).
For tech-savvy users, true Linux devices like the #LibertyPhone or #Librem5 with #PureOS, #Mobian or #postmarketOS (or flashed on a supported Android phone) can also work as a daily driver and replace Android for nearly all important stuff.
