@rolle yes, let's run into the arms of another company, it went so well with Discord, Reddit, Facebbok +++
Companies are made to make money, if it's free you are the product.
Slapping a AGPL license on a project that reinvents the wheel does not make it more trustworthy at this point in time.
@DoomBananas They did it wrong? So Discord is better? Do everything perfectly or don't do it at all? Classic.
@rolle Yes they (Discord) dit it wrong. They made a good service, got a lot of users and are now starting the squeeze. They use the good old "but think of the children" tactics while their true motivation is the IPO. While at the same time failing miserably to answer true security concerns and introduce shady 3. Party business partners.
@rolle niin no sun pitää tehdä tunnukset/avata rekisteröinti sille peliporukalle.
@cos @rolle federaatio on ainakin mainittu fluxerin roadmapilla.

@rolle Looks interesting. I’m not sure I understood the self-hosting part. Is that just an option or mandatory?
@rolle looks like Element, visually.
But it has no end to end encryption currently, from what i can tell, so… :/
@rolle
I am using it to chat with friends (browser since no phone app yet) and it works wonderfully well. (:
Also it has "personal notes" section which I like. I can add important stuff there for future me. 🙂
I think it will replace Discord for me now, as long as I can get some groups to move there. (Our ADHD group is already doing that)
@rolle hmmm - yam (yet another messenger)?
@WarpinWolf Not yet another. There aren't many group chat apps with voice over IP features that work well while gaming. It looks like this one was built specifically for that, similar to Discord, but open source.
Kukas se täällä kaipaili Discord-vaihtoehtoa, @pnuk?
