I'd like to add one more point to this, and it's that your circle benefits from your privacy practices. Your immigrant friends benefit. Your queer friends benefit. Your activist friends benefit. Privacy is protection. Privacy is freedom. Privacy is mutual aid. Privacy culture is consent culture. This is the way we have to think about it.
