I rewatched it after I finished Andor and it was flawed and cartoonish as I remembered. Not yucking your yum if you liked it, but I hope you'd agree it doesn't hold a candle to its prequel series.

@strypey I thought it was interesting how simplistic episode IV felt, watching it again directly after Andor and then a rewatched Rogue One. And I don’t mean the special effects, though Ep IV’s set design of course pales in comparison to the beautiful visual feast and cinematography that was Andor.
No, I mean the story. Ep IV is actually a fairly benign hero’s journey action flick; Andor S2 is one of the most brilliant political commentaries ever. Absolutely loved it.

Fair cop. The original trilogy as a whole makes for a much more interesting story, A New Hope is just the entry point. Did having watched Andor first make the Empire feel like more of an irredeemable threat, and the rebels' victory over them any sweeter?
