Now that Discord is demanding ID, my kids are finally interested in alternative services. What’s a good one for audio and video calling that is secure and is not in the US? I have Signal but found out it’s US. I have Delta Chat but not sure if it has audio and video chat. What’s the scoop with Matrix? #discord #chat #deltachat #signal #matrix

@annewalk you can pay for a hosted BigBlueButton instance, it works well for small groups
I've seen BBB work well for large groups, but it takes a lot of bandwidth
Nextcloud has a call feature, but I don't use it, so not sure if that's functional for a small group
That D&D game will soon be old enough to drive
