@d1 do you know of anyone actually enforcing license usage legally when the licenses have these kinds of super vague terms? thinking of other arty licenses like the anticapitalist one

as a comparable thing "we" *think* we can theoretically do but it doesn't materialise at all in reality because power 🙃
@d1 i think in general this idea of licenses stopping power from using useful stuff is 1980s thinking, where a specific implementation is special. like a company worth billions couldn't just whip up their own version of something. they dont have to care about it being open source (fostering community, good docs, reliable releases etc) and only care about the system being distributed for their uses and not decentralized in a anti-power way that makes public open systems complicated.

@d1 To be honest, I don't mind it that much. If they can lure military into giving money to censorship resistant tech, I consider that net positive.
