Quest'anno Wikimedia Italia ha rifiutato la richiesta di sovvenzione, tardando ampiamente nel comunicarcelo.

Il FOSDEM tuttavia è alle porte e 4 giorni a Bruxelles non costan proprio poco. È la fiera più grande d'Europa di software libero, per noi fondamentale.

Hello #Fediverse,

as #FOSDEM 2026 is approaching I was thinking about bridging the livestreams to #PeerTube as well.

Streams are under #CreativeCommons license that allows sharing videos, so there is no big deal in it.

As there are plenty of rooms (and we dibs Social Web for #VHSky 😀 ), it would be fun to coordinate streaming accross multiple instances to stream as much rooms as possible without overloading single instance.

What do you think, anybody interested?

Also, anybody has idea how to actually bridge m3u to PeerTube? @j4n3z maybe?

Looking for a recommendation on ultra-light eating utensils. Due to a timing mishap on my part I'll be attending FOSDEM this year with an insecure front crown (the permanent replacement will not be ready until after I'm already on the way). It's already fallen out once and when it was put back in they said to cut everything up really small when eating. So, I am looking for a very light sturdy travel utensil kit for my backpack that is also easy to keep clean.

Oooooh my custom made #TheFutureIsFederated sweatshirt has arrived at a pickup point! Going to retrieve it later today and I hope it turned out ok.

I intend to wear it at #FOSDEM on the big day for the Social Web talks.

All fingers and toes crossed it looks good and fits well. Otherwise I have two other Fedi t-shirts as backups 😅

Anyone driving from Berlin to Brussels for #FOSDEM?

As 2026 begins, we are excited to see the projects from the new edition of #YH4F, kicking off this month, and to start preparing for #FOSDEM and Ada & Zangemann in Dutch!

At the same time, we are looking back at the last month of 2025: from #YH4F in Hamburg to our two latest Software Freedom Podcast episodes, and our updates on the CRA and our work in the Apple v. European Commission litigation.
