If I would be living out my specific "fame", I would go to #39C3 with a t-shirt saying "I have 10K+ followers in the Fediverse". At #FOSDEM I would wear a T-Shirt saying "I use garage as my S3 object store and I like it a lot" :)

Open-source folks have spent decades learning how to create communities for decades. They know how to collaborate in the open
govern messy, human systems, onboard contributors, sustain projects beyond a single company or hype cycle.
That know-how matters more than ever when software becomes abundant.
Open source wasn't just about free code. It was community. It felt almost as practice for this moment.
That is why I am so excited about #badgefed and #fosdem and #activitypub, especially this year.
I now have about a dozen talks I want to see at #FOSDEM and, miraculously, none of them clash!
Of course, whether I can schlep back and forth across campus in time is a different question 😄

Well it seems I will be presenting @badgefed at #fosdem on the #socialwebfosdem track!
This was a long-shot and honestly it will make my logistics very difficult, the week before I will be travelling with my family to Mexico. So probably, will take the kiddo to the junior track!
