I can only make so much noise myself, but the critical point is signup, if someone has no idea there are BIPOC instances at signup, they are probably going to signup at the flagship, not get the community they crave and move to Bluesky.

@strypey Look at the topics, No offense to others but if as long as the GLOBAL MAJORITY counts for shit to Mastodon, it's #WhiteSupremacy in full #Racist glory. It's on the dominant culture to fix this. I'm not asking for tools or anything just a freaking topic and instance listing.

I'm sure they'd be happy to list any they're made aware of. The criteria and process for being listed are here;

Once they have at least 1 listed server they can put in such a category, I'm sure they'll be happy to add one.
@strypey I've been screwing around doing it their way for 3 years, and haven't even received a courtesy email. I'm fully familiar with the process. I'm not gonna do it anymore, now it's my way, and I'm just getting started.

Just to be sure I'm understanding what you're telling me, you're saying that turtle.island meets the criteria to be listed, and you've followed joinmastodon.org's prescribed process for getting it listed, and they've ignored you. No response from them at all.
Is this an accurate summary of the situation?

If anyone suggests an indigenous-run server for listing but get no response to the email, or a refusal to list, or a refusal to consider adding a category, please let me know. But as long as they meet the criteria laid out in the Mastodon Server Covenant, I'd be very surprised if they were refused.
@Yehuda There are hashtags like #Native #Indigenous #NDN #LandBack #Indigenize #NativeMastodon #IndigenousMastodon #IndigenousCreatives #TurtleIsland. Connect to accounts you find under these tags and remember, that there is no big brother here who has already done everything for you. If you don't find it, found it!
@StefanMuenz Turns out I've heard of hashtags before, even coined a few. This is not helpful, and an example of the excuses I referenced previously to avoid dealing with systemic racism.
