Interesting article on Mozilla's AI investment. I do think we could have done a lot of good things with $1.4 billion and it would not have been AI. Our focus is building a great browser here at @Vivaldi.

@jon @Vivaldi If only Vivaldi had a way of importing tab groups from Firefox into workspaces of Vivaldi... alas...

@jon @Vivaldi Can you somehow become CEO of Mozilla? The world would be a better place.

@jon @Vivaldi Honestly, as someone who's used and preferred Firefox since the early days, their ridiculous focus on AI and other stuff outside of the scope of improving the browser itself - especially when so many users have been screaming their objections at Mozilla - is frustrating af and it's got me wanting to explore alternatives. But man, there are so few real alternatives out there that aren't running the Chromium engine under the hood... And tbh that's what keeps me from seeing Vivaldi as an option. dragnconfused While I totally get *why* y'all made that call, I just don't wish to contribute to the Chromium engine monopoly on the web. Which sucks because I *know* everything you've built around that is quality work!

I desperately wish Vivaldi built upon Gecko or some other engine was an option.
