1) I'm happier about my decision to stop using Firefox.
2) I'm going to stop using @thunderbird .
Which is a shame, because Thunderbird is still the best mail client, and Firefox brought us hope in the IE days.

@Taffer We hope you stay with Thunderbird! Any smart features in Thunderbird, like automated tagging, summaries, and translation, would be part of a completely opt-in, subscription based service that will run in an Add-on to the core desktop app.

After looking into "User requests for opt-in AI in Thunderbird" it's like three people enthusiastic about AI in Thunderbird. While the... What, 50+ pages of users lamenting Mozilla's AI drive...
It feels dishonest and untrustworthy.
Time to move on from Thunderbird it seems.
