I just configured @thunderbird on my Linux laptop to connect to my family iCloud calendar, and it seems to work pretty well!
The setup was a bit involved though. Any chance this might be solved by the new Account Hub in the future?

I'm pondering on, instead of self-hosting, buying some #email service.
I need:
- Multiple separate inboxes (NOT aliases!)
- #IMAP / #SMTP, the whole alphabet, I want to use #Thunderbird.
- Not "one of the big guys" like Google/Microsoft/Yahoo/WhatHaveYou
- Protonmail is... Not sure, but their "email addresses" === aliases
- I'm going to have to stick with #SelfHosted am I not?

Hu I've a strange problem with my #postfix #smtpd (I presume?) . Trying to send a mail trough it with #thunderbird , it fails with the error:
> Peer’s Certificate issuer is not recognized.
my cert is issued by Let's Encrypt and is not expired.
In postfix's logs I get this:
> smtpd[552582]: SSL_accept error from unknown[176.x.x.x]: -1
> smtpd[552582]: warning: TLS library problem: error:14094418:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert unknown ca:../ssl/record/rec_layer_s3.c:1571:SSL

#Thunderbird tip:
Don't like having a "--" before your email signature (or can't for legal reasons (yes, that's a thing))?
Go to settings, then to the config editor, and set "mail.identity.default.suppress_signature_separator" to true
