I don't think that the team behind WSocial can be trusted if the main page already misleads people by skipping the fact that there are European social media platforms such as Mastodon.
Starting a platform that, according to its team, wants to fight against disinformation, yet misleading people is not making it trusted or credible.

Let's take a moment to reflect on how these two concepts are different, and why commercial actors in that space have shifted their language from "social network" to "social media" some years ago.

@mysteriarch @dawid In my opinion this is simply because W Social AB is a commercial entity launching a commercial product. The goal is not to connect people to each other. The goal is to make money.
We dirty hippies don't live on the same plane of existence as these people. They don't mention Mastodon or any other non-commercial social thing because in their eyes they don't matter.
As I said: "social media" versus "social network", always pay attention to the language.
