This image captures a scenic view of the A87 road as it passes through the Red Cuillins on the Isle of Skye. The hills are covered with snow and it’s a view that tourists and visitors rarely see. The island has a population of about 10,000 in the winter months. Annually some 650,000 people visit Skye mainly in the summer. The snow doesn’t lie for long except on the higher peaks. Winter is not a season lacking in colour. The palette is no less interesting and has a wide range. It isn’t all grey.
