A pup Vancouver Island marmot in its natural habitat stares at the photographer. The marmot is dark brown with white spots on its forehead, chest and snout. It is very cute. It is surrounded by green vegeration, white flowers called pearl everlasting and some light grey rock. The marmot is in focus but the rest looks blurry due to the short depth of field.
