Finally! Europe has a politician with a spine:

Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez is a signatory to the strong criticism of Trump’s illegal intervention in Venezuela, and stressing that Trump taking over Venezuelas natural resources is incompatible with international law.

I was thinking about the migration problem too. Think about it, ever since turmoil began in Venezuela, the largest numbers of migrants have fled to the US. And which is the second country mostly impacted by Venezuelan migration? Spain. So, yes, they are probably more concerned because they have been dealing with large numbers of migrants for decades.

@randahl timely the far right in Spain has started to say that "Trump shouldn't stop in Venezuela and carry on" to take out the Spanish President...

Normal for Spain to react with other Spanish speaking countries.

But I think it's smarter to watch and analyze well before reacting.

@randahl I think Spain should demand back all the natural resources in North America that the USA stole from Spain.

@randahl the Portuguese Prime Minister must have been around a low reception zone (like he was when it was time to have a conference call about Ukraine - he was actually golfing, the poor thing), there are at least 194.000 Portuguese citizens registered in the consulate in Venezuela, there might be around 600.000/1 million Portuguese and Portuguese descendants in Venezuela. He chose to appease Trump in a way Chamberlain would only dream of, joined by the current President and the Presidential candidate supported by his political coalition.

I’m surprised that Canada didn’t sign this as well. They are just a subject to targeting by US fracking wealth as Mexico and many other nations in the Americas are to oil and mining concerns

The EU should be signing this and so most nations in Asia

I am disappointed that Canada’s government couldn’t bring themselves to sign a similarly clear letter.

Btw. it's interesting which media is focussing solely on the Maduro figure and the court now - instead of staying on focus on the lawless #project2025 (with Trump as a posterfigure) actions breaking all laws possible, incl. UN Charta.
Trump (i believe) is still just a narcissistic, egomanic tool way to good in "flooding the zone with shit" to replace him now.
Considering the combined power of the #ClubOfOligarchs i really hope democracies will overcome all this.

@randahl Trump is delusional. He's not taking over Venezuela's oil and natural resources.
