Lovely Peeps! Today I learned there are very specific colours traditionally used in Japanese art of all kinds (painting, textiles, etc.) - *and* there is a Wikipedia page that shows them all!

I love some of the names : Ibis wing, black kite, glazed persimmon, chestnut leather, weathered bamboo, simmered seaweed, 'the brown of a distant river', 'Contemplation in a tea garden' (!!) and more. 馃グ
