is this anything

#WeevilWednesday #bugstodon #insects #beetles #weevils #Coleoptera #Curculionoidea #MastoArt #art

A pen drawing in a notebook of a Nativity scene except they're all insects. Mary and Joseph are acorn weevils, and the baby in the manger is a fat grub. The three Wise Men are some kind of broad-nosed weevil, a spiny weevil, and a long skinny brentid weevil, and they are offering a nut, leaves, and a piece of wood. In the barn in the background are a few hanging chrysalises, a spider dangling from a small web, some aphids (one winged), and leaves in a sort of feeding trough. To the side are more aphids and their shepherds (Camponotus ants), and scattered around some isopods, springtails, a thrips, a red velvet mite, and a dung beetle couple with their dung ball. A very bright star shines above them.

(you know i had to throw in the ants for @futurebird. I hope I didn't mangle them too badly, I'm not very good with insects)
