"People told me that it was impossible to be veggie in Japan. That was nonsense." Exactly. I've had similar experiences. With a bit of planning I had no trouble finding some great vegan/veggie-friendly restaurants. Just dropping these Google Maps overlays here, I found them quite helpful for quickly finding a place to eat.
