Thunderous

The gorgeous bridal veil of Dynjandi.

100m/328ft high, 30m/98ft wide at the crest and 60m/197ft at the base. Accompanied by six other lovely cascades below, this truly is the Jewel of the Westfjords.

The climb to the top is 200m/656ft and I didn't make it all the way. I'd been determined that I would but I disappointed myself. I saw a lot of beauty that day, though, so I was content.

Arnarfjörður, #Iceland.

A colour photo of a large, fan-shaped waterfall dropping down a sheer mountain face of grey rock. Several other drops can be seen below it. The more horizontal surfaces up the cliffside have yellowing vegetation on them along with some golden plants and moss. The sky is overcast and grey.
