📣 We are proposing a reduction of 90% to the EU's emissions by 2040, a significant milestone on our road to net zero by 2050.

By setting this target, we want to:
🔹 Ensure certainty for investors
🔹 Guarantee energy security and resilience
🔹 Create more jobs
🔹 Drive innovation, prosperity, and competitiveness

Europeans want strong climate action. We are responding to this call.

For a European green transition that is clean, competitive, and fair for all!

@EUCommission

Nearly everyone is affected by climate change, the rich buy a chateau on a mountain, can afford acclimatized rooms, cars offices, huge pools and vacations anywhere on the planet.

The poor workers and marginalized suffer, especially those who must work outside in the searing heat rain cold.
Something 99,999% of politicians would not manage to do for one hour let alone a lifetime.

@EUCommission Reducing greenhouse gas emissions could give us a considerable foreign policy advantage by limiting our dependence on energy sources that come from nations with totalitarian or autocratic governments. Perhaps starting to point to this as a major benefit could crack the rhetoric of many anti-European nationalist parties. What do you think?
@EUCommission look, if your main concerns are
"🔹 Ensure certainty for investors
🔹 Guarantee energy security and resilience
🔹 Create more jobs
🔹 Drive innovation, prosperity, and competitiveness"

you are clearly still on the same train as anyone else trying to appease billionaires, feeding the capitalist propaganda and doing the "say big words that mean nothing"-dance.

Taxes on animal products, fossil fuels, inheritance and multi-million-incomes need to skyrocket the same as climate change.
