While I sipped my morning coffee this, uh, morning, I thought that there should be a free, user-owned, open source alternative to Uber and its ilk. (Because fuck them.)
Naturally I promptly discovered that I'm far from being the first person to think this.
There's a nascent little app called Compa帽ero that does just that. It's actually a Telegram bot, so doesn't require a download (if you've got Telegram).
