So now there's a Wikipedia in Toki Pona. It's a constructed language, comparable to #esperanto, but much more modern, and with a curious philosophy of having as few words as possible.

#TokiPona written in sitelen Lasin is a phonetic language, meaning that it's possible to generate all available rhymes from just the written words. So I did that.

I'm not sure how I should describe this one. Some kind of lo fi trip hop or #downtempo I suppose. With a deep, slow bass, and some rather broken piano.

The beat is certainly a bit broken too. But all these bits fit quite well together, I think, as if all the imperfections could blend into something more wholesome. Or maybe not?

As I unpack stuff from past projects, I realize quickly that the line between 'promotional materials' and 'meaningful memorabilia' is particularly fluid.
Today I found..
Cast/crew photos from my first narrative circus show, signed by each person who helped build that world.
Prop scripts from a project which were destroyed on stage as part of the opening act. I forgot that I kept the extra prints.
Old photo postcards from early incarnations of our circus troupe.
All brimming with memory now.
For now, back in a box.
Eventually they'll be framed and displayed here in #ThisOldClownHouse.
One other glorious find...
During our initial explorations of #tokipona and clown, we made a bunch of 'gift tags' for a show. They were inscribed with the 'jan nasa pona' glyph we created.
The best of the bunch was scanned, vectorised, and became the glyph on the footer of our website.
I found the tag we used! It's going in a curio cabinet for a bit, so I can see it in the lounge while resting.

I suppose this can still be called #dub #techno, though it also certainly sounds like a variety of other things. This kinds of reminds me of Boards of Canada while not sounding like Boards of Canada at all.

For me, it probably triggers the vague and distant memory of one of their tracks, or some forgotten feeling somehow linked to that vibe. I'm not sure.

It seems drones and pads may stay for a while. I find rather interesting to keep exploring atmospheric textures while keeping a minimalist structure with a barely audible rhythm. It's kind of warm and fuzzy, not so far from dub techno... but without the techno, and with only a hint of dub.

Hey there, it seems like it's time for the 44th track of 2025 :)
And apparently we're back in #dub #techno territories, with warm saturated sounds and a rather #ambient vibe, even if the beat has a bit more presence than in the previous track.

I love sailing along the thin frontier between distant chords and quiet noise, where everything blends into a fuzzy ocean of soothing static yet keeps some structure and musicality.

Today I'm reminded of one of the first nonessential creative objects I threw together in #ThisOldClownHouse
There was a cheap clock on the wall with a pushy religious phrase.
I tore it apart. I destroyed it. Broke it. Remade it. It isn't even a clock anymore.
It now has a glyphtic phrase in #tokipona on it:
'Ijo wan lon tenpo wan'
(One thing in one time)
The word lon also means present, here, and truth.
An arrow points directly at it, as if to say, "You're not too late, it's still now."
Still mildly interested in learning Toki Pona. (You know, among the 99 other things I'm interested in learning right now but who knows if I'll ever make time for any of it.) Debating how much effort I should put into learning 
.
I rarely see it used, but then I also haven't looked very hard and mostly base that on Toki Pona posts on fedi and gemini.
On the other hand, it's just kinda neat.
