Listening to an old Cristian Vogel #techno set. It just hit the "doof doof doof" bit where the melody drops out and a couple of miles away a cruise ship sounded its horn like the captain was a raver with a klaxon.

Japanese techno didn’t just copy Berlin or Detroit — it carved its own path. Minimal, immersive and deeply rooted in culture. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/culture/2025/07/30/music/japanese-techno-festivals-rural/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=mastodon #culture #music #electronica #djs #techno #rural #musicfestivals
Hi there, is it Sunday yet? Well, no, but my weekend will be quite busy, so here's the 30th track of 2025 in advance :)

I wanted to make some drone ambient... and I failed utterly. So you'll get #acid #techno
instead. I suppose you could remove everything but the slightly ominous pads in the background, and the result would be very close to what I was initially aiming for, but where would be the fun in that?

Apparently this one-track-a-week thing is still on track (haha). It's the end of week 29, meaning you can listen to my 29th musical experiment of the year.

Is it #dub #techno? Probably. At least, for the most part, then it drifts into some ambient textures that may lead to something else. I'd say it sounds more minimalist than the usual. There's a bit more silence, a bit less noise, and even if it's still quite busy, it has a more contrasted, impactful vibe.

It's weekly track time! So here's the 28th track of 2025.
#Dub #techno it is... But, for once, I've used a more classic four-on-the-floor beat, which makes it quite danceable compared to most of the tracks that came before.

Lots of chords, lots of bass, probably too much of everything, but enough to get carried away by an ocean of distorted tones and warm textures. I rather like the kind of energy it conveys.

Seems like we've now reached the second half of the year... So, this is the 27th track of 2025. And it also seems that #dub #techno is back, quite unsurprisingly. Even if the way it comes back is possibly a bit surprising, even for me.

I didn't know acid could morph into saturated shoegazy guitar then into dub, but I suppose the over-processed chords and the stupidly groovy bass kind of prove it. Also yes, this one is 100% validated by my head-banging grey parrot.
