So now there's a Wikipedia in Toki Pona. It's a constructed language, comparable to #esperanto, but much more modern, and with a curious philosophy of having as few words as possible.

In fact, many years ago, there used to be a Wikipedia in this language, but it was closed in 2008 without a lot of discussion. The reasons were that it has no activity, and the language's philosophy doesn't really allow writing real encyclopedia articles.

In addition, it didn't have a standard ISO 639 language code, which is now a requirement for creating new projects, although it wasn't the main part of the closing discussion.
