Ich würde gern eine offene App benutzen, die auch als Navi funktioniert. Das ist in Berlin nicht trivial. Das beworbene #wanderer scheint das nicht zu leisten. Ich kann über die Webseite nicht mal einen Trip in der Stadt planen (lassen).

On April 2024 I picked up a small Lenovo server on sale and put it on the corner of my desk at home. From there began my return to self hosting:

Among the many drinking fountains in Basel, Switzerland, around 30 are adorned by the statue of a basilisk, the heraldic beast of the city. Despite growing up in Basel and living here on and off for over 20 years, I had never seen all of them. So as a summer running project, I visited each, covering a total of 51 km in just under 6 hours spread over seven separate runs.

Have installed #Wanderer to see if this is something for me to document hiking trails. A couple of versions ago also federation was implemented (as far as I was able to figure out only from other Wanderer instances, might be wrong here). In case you also have a Wanderer account (on whatever instance), you should be able to follow me via @sander@wanderer.spiezmaestro.ch.

As we're getting more into hikes around our new home – and I record tracks of them to also improve #openstreetmap – I've made a #wanderer profile at @gedankenstuecke@trails.tchncs.de to share some nice trails.
It's an open source trail/track sharing platform that's federated thanks to #ActivityPub, so if you can read this post, you can follow my profile there too!
