i've got a connection who's into #crochet #knitting and other #fiberarts is there a big presence on #fediverse for this sort of thing?

i'm trying to get her off of #instagram and show her there's another way using #mastodon, #pleroma, #gotosocial or #mitra to explore the ecosystem.

any instances dedicated to this? if now i may build one for her.

@jae There's been at least one attempt at building a #FiberArts instance, but the admin got overwhelmed, so we've gone back to just using the hashtags

that said, there's a lot of us here on wandering dot shop, and I can get you an invite code if needed

@WizardOfDocs that'd be great to get her started. i'm technical and this wouldn't be too much for me to manage. just want to be sure she'll use it before committing. infrastructure/code is standing by.
