@jeffjarvis good to see some reporting like this. Unfortunately, in large parts of German media disbelief still fuels a lot of unjustified leniency toward the Trump coup. Especially in the standard daily or evening news formats. Documentary style or investigative formats do a much much better job though.

no idea if he speaks German - anyway the commentators obviously do not know what is going on in German and how our big beautiful government is closely observing how far MAGA can go in order to proceed the same way in Germany

When we were kids, his brother, Gordon Wilson, tried to get my brother to join the Christian youth org Young Life, which my brother rejected. The Gordons invited our family over to dinner. @jeffjarvis I have read the bible, and one would be stupid to not observe similarities to the antichrist story in what’s going on in USA/Israel right now.
However, I am a staunch atheist and I’m just saying that to point out that a non-fanatical reading of their very own sacred texts should be enough to make them doubt this radical theocratic project they’re on.
