@jeffjarvis good to see some reporting like this. Unfortunately, in large parts of German media disbelief still fuels a lot of unjustified leniency toward the Trump coup. Especially in the standard daily or evening news formats. Documentary style or investigative formats do a much much better job though.

Janw, I wanted to answer a bit more sardonically to his praise of this simulation of journalism Der Spiegel...
no idea if he speaks German - anyway the commentators obviously do not know what is going on in German and how our big beautiful government is closely observing how far MAGA can go in order to proceed the same way in Germany
but anyway - congratulations: you made a good point - and much shorter :)
