Reading this article aloud to my husband and he exclaims, "Oh, THAT guy - Douglas Wilson. When we were kids, his brother, Gordon Wilson, tried to get my brother to join the Christian youth org Young Life, which my brother rejected. The Gordons invited our family over to dinner. All I remember is that they served us meat so raw and tough that I couldn't chew it and spit it out." LOL
