Incredible Valentine's Day lunch at Plantuguese in #Bristol. We had the francesinha and the bacalhau, and yes that cod fillet is vegan!

Carrying on our #vegan Valentine's weekend @SaintlySin and I had the loveliest, most restful and relaxing weekend at The Base in #Bristol https://thebaseretreat.co.uk/, a luxury cabin and spa that funds an animal sanctuary full of friendly, charismatic animals who are very keen to hang out with visitors! We had a lovely time meeting curious, chatty turkeys and ducks, eating delicious cooked breakfasts (including gluten free!) and getting soggy on purpose in the spa as opposed to just getting rained on.

Some of the sanctuary residents, four turkeys rescued from becoming Christmas dinner. The ground is extremely muddy due to the non-stop rain we've had in the South West since the new year, but you can see that they have lots of space to run about, plants and a pond and there are little shelters in the background

I managed to forget my swimsuit but managed to save the spa experience at the last minute by grabbing some bits from a charity shop on the way from Plantuguese.

A sports bra and running shorts I grabbed in a charity shop for £3.99 and £5.99 respectively that made a surprisingly well fitting swimming costume considering I just grabbed them off the rack without trying them on
