@pixelfed I just closed my #Pixelfed account. It was an interesting experience and the platform has potential but it needs *A LOT* of work.

Both the #mobile app and #web UI are slow, confusing, and need redesigns. There is an #Instagram #migration tool but it is broken. And then there are inconsistencies with showing the same number of boosts and comments when viewed from #Mastodon vs Pixelfed.

Believe me, I'd love to see it take off and be a successful platform but it seems that the time and energy has gone into #Loops instead. It feels like Pixelfed is on the verge of becoming #abandonware.

@pixelfed no thanks, your app is a skin messes as not everything have the same design, and your main server have the same issue as mastodon became too big making you a central server, and since you are on the central server mastodon.social, that make you bad for decentralisation.

@pixelfed you should develop some blogging appeal for that. So Instagramers can flock to the service.

Shouldn't be more correct to say that the number is about the new accounts activated on pixelfed.social ? The actual form is misleading.

A person could be already on Fediverse (i.e. using Mastodon) and would require a new account on Pixelfed to post on that specific instance, but overall, it is not a new person on the Fediverse :)
