We're hosting our German #OpenDesk and French #LaSuite colleagues at the Dutch Ministry of Interior today to exchange experiences with our #MijnBureau team 🇩🇪🇫🇷
This is in preparation of the official European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC) launch tomorrow in The Hague. 🍾
The #EDIC will be a consortium of several EU member states to fund, support and build more #opensource EU alternatives together, like the sovereign workspaces replacing Microsoft.

Yay! My #Mastodon trifecta is now complete! My blue & orange (is it orange‽) #Plushtodon came in last night, & I opened it yesterday, but I was too tired to post about it as I just got off work.
But yes, I am excited that the two smaller Plushes arrived! Thanks @Mastodon for creating these!
Also…we need more #ActivityPub apps to create real world wearables or plushies, as they are great conversation starters for folks who are not familiar with the #Fediverse.

Habe seit 2019 sukzessive #Facebook , #Instagram & dann auch #X aufgegeben, weil vor lauter #Hate & Freund-Feind- #Dualismus sachliche Dialoge z.B. über #Demografie oder #Religionen immer seltener wurden.
Hier auf #Mastodon wird #Dialog gefördert, nicht algorithmisches #Neurohacking bis hin zur #Empörungssucht. Es erhöht die #Lebenszufriedenheit sowie den #Sinn.

Wie spielen WordPress und Mastodon zusammen?
Bisher konnte man im ActivityPub-Plugin für WordPress immer einstellen, wie die Posts bspw. bei Mastodon angezeigt werden. Dieses Features ist jetzt abgekündigt und der Plugin-Entwickler Matthias Pfefferle ( @pfefferle) hat mir in seiner öffentlichen Sprechstunde am Freitag erklärt, wieso das so ist.

wrote for Mainstream on how UK Labour gov't is falling behind on combating far-right & state propaganda by relying constantly on Xitter/Meta platforms – even though some figures within call for diverging from them – and why it's imperative to offer an alternative on a gov't level, as well as grassroots level
(while target audience for this post is people outside of Fedi, I think it's fair to demand similar things from other gov'ts)
