Ellis held an all-day hearing Wednesday in her courtroom at the Dirksen Federal Building in downtown #Chicago where she heard from members of the #clergy, #protesters & Chicago #residents that they had been terrified by the aggressive actions of federal agents carrying out what the #Trump admin calls “Operation Midway Blitz.”

Nearly a month ago, Ellis prohibited federal agents from deploying #TearGas & other #weapons against #journalists, #protesters & anyone not posing an immediate threat to #immigration enforcement agents.
Since Oct 3, federal agents have fired tear gas at Chicagoans on at least 7 occasions, along with #PepperBalls & other crowd *control* measures.
