Hi, folks! We want to say thank you for getting us 98% of the way to the fundraising goal! The next few days of shelter are now covered, and we are going to be posting online (on Luke's tiktok and my mastodon, mainly) seeking commissions. On top of that, since we have a few days, we are going to be reaching out to more resources yet again. Luke has made a post in the Denver area queer housing group, after my post got no success. We are hoping that post gets approved soon and that we can connect with potential roommates. Unfortunately, if you saw our posts on social media, you'll know why we're feeling a bit more stuck and more motivated to get out of homelessness right now. The RV would not start, so we had to book some time at the hotel next door to the one we were previously in. We were parked in this lot when the hotel threatened to tow everything we own, and since we are guests now, they can't tow us. This means we'll need to stay here until we figure something else out. We aren't sure what that will look like. The cats are not allowed in this hotel, and we certainly wouldn't be able to move all our possessions into this hotel room. Perhaps we somehow raise enough for a vehicle that isn't a lemon, we find a roommate, raise enough for rent with them, and can sell our RV. That would be the ideal situation, but we all know things don't tend to work out in the easiest manners. For the time being, Luke has re-opened our wishlist to help us get some necessities.
