Emergency #MutualAidRequest to help a currently stranded disabled trans couple

We’re still trying to get towed to a mechanic. Yesterday we were able to get a tow truck to come to us, only to be told that because of something with our axel we would need a different kind of tow truck and we wouldn’t be able to be towed to a mechanic. The tow driver was able to move us to a Park-n-Ride lot so we didn’t have to stay directly on the side of the road.

Now today we are trying to explain the situation back to Good Sam Roadside Assistance so that they could work on sending the correct type of tow for us.

This keeps turning into a huge mess of a situation. Please keep boosting for us. We have no idea what the repairs are going to cost us, never mind anything else we might have to deal with (like a hotel and transportation to that). We are a disabled trans couple who were already struggling to get by before this.

Update: @LukeOrion and I are still trying to get a tow for today. At this point it’s fairly likely that we will need to end up booking at least a couple nights at a hotel, never mind the Ubers from repair shop to said hotel, and getting what we can delivered to us for food, etc. We have absolutely no idea how much anything would potentially cost us when it comes to the RV repair itself.

We are both really stressed out about this situation. We’ve had to spend the past two nights on the side of a mountain highway road. Any size donation helps right now.

Please keep boosting for us! We were able to use our Good Sam membership and are currently waiting on a tow to a repair facility.

We have now idea how much a repair will cost or what we’re going to do if we can’t stay in it overnight if they can’t fix it today.

This is an emergency!

Update: unable to get tow tonight. Will have to call back first thing in the morning. We’re going to have to spend another night on the side of the road for now. There’s a very high likelihood that we will end up needing to figure out a hotel for at least a night. Never mind the transportation for that.

If not familiar with us, my partner @LukeOrion and I are two disabled and trans artists/musicians who live full time now in an RV after escaping homelessness. Unfortunately we are now currently broken down on the side of a mountain road where we are going to have to spend the night.
