Afternoon update: @LukeOrion and I are now at $230 of our $575 goal to keep staying sheltered. Due to the current hotel having a 28 day stay limit and also not allowing any animals, we are planning on leaving when our reservation ends tomorrow morning and going to an Extended Stay hotel that’s a couple doors up the block. The cost per week is similar and we would actually be able to bring our two cats inside with us again. We’ve been having to keep them in our RV (we check on them and are out there multiple times a day). Now we can bring them inside before it gets dangerously cold out.

12/15 Evening update: adjusted the total. We needed to get a cooler so we didn't waste the frozen food we have (including a whole ice cream birthday cake I was sent today). Crowdfunding for a car as a disabled & homeless trans couple. @magicalgrrrl and I would greatly benefit from having a working car, as it would allow us to go about life more independently. Recently, we’ve spent an unreasonable amount of funds to just get food and meds regularly, because better resources/stores are too far away from the hotel we’re staying at, to walk to them. If we had a running vehicle, we could also DoorDash or UberEats for income. It would also allow us start seeking medical care for our disabilities, because then we’d have reliable transportation to and from appointments.

Any contribution is genuinely appreciated; even boosting or re-posting our fundraiser is a huge support. If we can get a used SUV of sorts, and a small trailer to store our belongings, that would help us even more than just a car by itself. We currently have a broken-down, very old RV that we’ve spent a ton of money trying to repair to no avail. It has been storing our belongings while we stay sheltered in the hotel. The only reason the hotel doesn’t tow it is because we’re staying with them. Getting a car AND trailer would allow us to try to sell the broken RV and start seriously seeking out stable housing and income.
