Okay so announcing a new project -- maybe! A couple of months ago I started turning over the idea of doing something revolving around interviews with people, in particular because the market for feature pieces isn't impossible right now, but the straits are direr than they have been, and of course that kind of work is not my full-time job. But I DID think, "Well hey, wait, I've been working with and editing a podcast for over seven years, it's not like you can't do this on your own." So for my new weekly #music thoughts, this is an actually a first for the Patreon, namely a full audio interview. In this case, it's with Adam Offitzer, who has founded a really interesting new site earlier this year called Encore. The quick and dirty summary is 'Letterboxd for concerts,' but I wanted to delve into that and a lot more besides. It's available at the link in both audio and transcript form. @pluralistic I am a Wells Fargo account holder of decades. The wire transfer instructions (both domestic for me in the US, and international through SWIFT) are on the Wells Fargo web site, although it may take a Google search to navigate to them.

My brother in Switzerland has found a Wise bank account (I do not know the exact name) more useful for international wire transfers, than local banks in either country.

There is a recovery mechanism and I did save my recovery key just in case, but honestly I'm not feeling super enthused about going through the recovery flow just to save an account with a few followers in a place that doesn't yet have their shit together. I might feel differently if they hadn't announced to the world that they're using slopcoding.
