I’m really honoured that the School of Computer Science at The University of Sheffield have extended my Visiting Scholar status for a further 3 years.
I look forward to continuing my research into expressive programming languages for music and education in association with one of the best CS departments in the UK.

You can create a shared profile for your co-op, collective, project, or any other organisation or team, and invite trusted people to manage it with you.
Each team member signs in with their usual Bonfire account, with no insecure sharing of passwords, and together they can post as the organisation, access its feeds and private messages, manage its settings, and add or remove other members.
It’s similar to managing a Facebook Page, but built for the #fediverse: one shared public identity, securely managed by multiple people.

Anyway, I went to its home page to see if I could learn something useful there, and I saw a DHH quote.

Grease pencil autolines kept distorting whenever I moved the camera if I wanted to use the noise modifier. Here's a version that behaves correctly, with a boiling effect set for every 5 frames (rather than every frame if the camera moved, which was disorienting)
It's pretty simple, I used geometry nodes to distort the geometry with a noise texture instead.

It’s hard to get a good angle without proportions looking strange, but we installed some new shelves in the kids’ room, and have made some nice progress on the Bluey-inspired decor.
I 3D-printed the salt lamp (scaled up a model I found, converted it to vase-mode, designed a custom base for the light socket, and installed a Zigbee E12 bulb), and made the stained glass light from a 20" LED wafer ceiling light, acetate sheets, electrical tape, and a Zigbee relay. 🤓
It’s also a fun example of the mostly-invisible tech that powers my smart home! There’s a motion sensor, a door sensor, temp/humidity/air quality sensors, an air purifier, smart buttons, an LED matrix clock, a speaker with a voice assistant, and a bunch of smart lights. It’s a lot of tech, but nobody really has to know or care because things just work automatically or are controlled with a simple button press.
