This article details all of the Republican policies resulting in an intentional, massive & unprecedented upward transfer of wealth.

@Gina I have. But... I'm a guy, it was over 20 years ago, it has the same language and (broadly) culture, and the town I ended up in is 20X the size of the one I grew up in.
Not sure I'm the ideal person to ask, but happy to give advice if its useful and to give encouragement. It's a big deal. 😊
@davebauerart I am not suggesting this as a path at all, but I admit I get a little jealous (and regretful of past choices) watching a few youtubers whose work I enjoy seemingly make a living at pursuing their solar system of interests. I am also happy for them to the extent that they seem to be enjoying themselves. (I am sure there is plenty of hard work involved.)
@cstanhope Oh I definitely thought about it. I don't think I have it in me. You can find the 19 or so videos I made back around 2017-2020. I think the secret to a many successful YouTube creators is 1) no kids or 2) a spouse who can pay the bills and has health insurance. Even then, it requires a dedication to making the videos. A few of my friends are out there making it work!

I think this also explains some of the electoral success of the far right (eg in Poland). Finally getting to grips with #Picard (the #music library manager, not the captain… 🥲). Tried a few programs and Picard was the best, very pernickety but my mp3s are now in the best shape of their life, living it up on #Navidrome.
BUT. I’ve a fair few folders with 1-2 tracks only, where they’ve been badly matched at some point.
Music nerd Fedi: any quick tips, or am I looking at combing through em manually?
