Weird consequence of the continued Middle East conflict is black & white crisp packets in Japan. Due to a shortage of the petroleum-derived naphtha which is used for coloured inks, big snack company Calbee switched to colourless packs. There's a similar situation with Taiwan and chips, or the Netherlands and chipmaking machines. This is probably number 30 on our priority list right now.

@mattblaze I learned recently that the "real" purpose of "kosher milk" was to have someone (a rabbi) monitoring the cow->bottle->home process to insure that no one pees into the milk (to express hatred of Jews), which apparently was once common enough to be a problem.
