My family appear to be less into my 'evening with Pantera' than I'd hoped
Just made the most terrific food. This evening we travelled to Argentina! Ay ay ayyyy! I'll be honest I don't know where Argentina is or what they say. It feels Spanishy somehow. Do the Spanish say ay? Or is that sailors? I forget. Anyway..... We had some terrific potato salad leftover from last night and I made up another deconstructed salad salad (everyone except for me likes different bits so I have to put 'a salad' out in about 10 bowls - but it looks pretty and people seem to like it), wanged some old chips in the air fryer, put out some cold corn OT cobs, but what I was really after was making some kind of chimichurri sauce. A kind of salsa verde. No idea why. I haven't been taking my vitamins this week so maybe my body was trying to communicate with me. So I picked up some Juicy Marbles steaks on special - not totally sold on them yet tbh - but fam..... I made THE most terrific sauce and it just pulled everything together and it was really excellent.
Large bunch parsley. Small bunch coriander. Large spoon capers. Half a lemon. 3 cloves garlic. Bunch of salt and lots of pepper. Bit of sugar. Glug of white wine vinegar. Very big glug olive oil. Possibly some other stuff? Ah yes very small bunch of mint and some dried oregano. Also some chilli flakes. Chopped up and left to meld. Seriously good. SERIOUSLY good. I will make this again. Reckon it'd work well as a crowd pleaser. Although the JM steaks are a bit too expensive to feed en masse. Wonder if I could do some kind of Beyond meatballs in sauce or something. I am literally just typing my thoughts now. BYE!

Is autism self-diagnosis valid? Yep. 💜
Hey all, after reading dozens of research papers, and meta-analyses, and living through it, I made a thing!
I'd love it if you'd check it out! 🥰

@happyborg I don’t see it as implying third party per se; it’s just that everything I saw recommending it pointed down a path of increased complexity in support of massive scale, and much of that did include integrating third party bits.
Also didn’t mean to poo-poo it, because it does look cool. I need to learn more about it of course; like I said, I’m trying to find ways to do as much as possible with as little as possible. If it can support that effort, could be cool.
@cora that's cool. I just wanted to clarify. You may prefer more minimal and that's good too.
@TheBreadmonkey I sold my house, ordered in a curry, and sloshed ⅔ of a bottle of wine down my neck.
Don’t know if it’s the wine or what, but I think im in shock or something.
A Moor-velous Morning. Terrible pun. But the photo is OK, I think :)

[gesturing] Nobody knows where algebra is! Nobody knows! You need to be Einstein to know where algebra is. People came to me and said, sir, nobody knows more about algebra than you, and that's why we need to tariff bonds with the military. Are we going to let them use their wind farms to blow smoke down to America? Are we going to let them get away with that? No way! Crazy! That's just what those Oxford Commodores want! We're going to get them out of America until they turn the wind farms back.

A north american river otter has been documented along the bronx river for the first time in roughly 100 years after appearing on a motion-activated camera in June. otters once disappeared from the area as pollution, habitat loss and trapping devastated local wildlife. After decades of restoration efforts improved the river’s water quality and surrounding habitat, its unexpected return is being celebrated as a hopeful sign of ecological recovery.
Go girls! 👍
I'm glad I stocked up on Robertson screwdrivers when I had the chance.
This is such a good insight into how "AI" is sorta kinda actually propping up the economy (for now).
Everyone has known that the tech giants were making money hand-over-fist, to the point that they had no idea what to do with their gigantic cash reserves (that their board and major shareholders would agree to).
The "AI" investment binge has meant dumping those cash reserves. And that's gone on for about four to five years now, but it's coming to an end.

@mattblaze Over in the blue place, someone claimed Elon Musk fixed the 2024 election. When I asked for proof, they offered only an article in which Musk claimed he'd done so. He admits it himself so it must be true.
I responded that anyone who believes anything Musk claims is a fool.
They blocked me.
@oclsc They can't imagine why it might be to Musk's advantage to have Trump believe he owed his election to him.
