did you know that Fibonacci numbers (where each number is the sum of the previous two) can convert miles to kilometres?
1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, ...
pick any number in the sequence as your miles, and the next number in the sequence approximates the number of kilometres
this works because the ratio of consecutive Fibonacci numbers converges to 1.6180334 (the golden ratio φ), while the number of kilometres in a mile is 1.609344
to see how close this is, consider the approximation compared to the actual kilometres

the torrenting is Anthropic's previously-admitted book torrenting in 2021-2022, other downloads and scraping, and the claim is this grabbed lyrics without paying for them

Well. There's a thing.
The best that can be said is that Iraola's team remains undefeated in the league. Isak is on this team just barely because he happened to score a second before being subbed. Wirtz was able to contribute more especially during the first half. The strange arrangement with Gakpo paid off with makeshift right wing work setting up Isak. Our defence is still wobbly, Mac Allister helped to some extent, but this is not something that gets fixed with a DM alone.

There are now tools which will refresh the data on SSD's to improve longevity and refresh data retention 🙂
@simonzerafa interesting, what do they do exactly? Explicitly read and write back the data? I wonder how much work is done by the controller themselves and I've always been curious whether they scrub data at rest or not (if you don't explicitly access it for a long time).

The modern version of the encyclopedia is awful? Are you familiar with the old ones? Why not include dictionaries as well - surely those don't actually provide the full and rich definition you can easily get an llm to spit out, but of course one is the definitive source and the other is just a verbose derivative at best. At worst it could be wrong, but apparently still capable of glazing you in college English.
And the journalism? Dude, you are a journalist to me. Where in their manifesto did it say anything about an llm's power to explain? They said it makes you dependent, it's not actually intelligent, it fabricates responses, it's a con, and it's bad for the planet and people. Sure sure llm's are not actually just a fancy autocomplete, but I'm not entertaining a bunch of pedantry from the very people who are totally fine with vibes and good enough.
