Dudes after a lifetime of wanting one, a Compact OED popped up at a reasonable-ish price, and I pounced on it. (The Compact, as you can maybe see, is a single-volume, micrographic presentation of *the entire twenty-volume Oxford English Dictionary*, 2nd Edition.) I’m over the moon.

Now, is that actually why he went? I don't really know - but it doesn't make a lotta sense for an administration that has downplayed the threat of Russia and likes to portray itself as able to influence Putin's actions to leak "we sent Ratcliffe down there to straighten them out" - maybe there's a game being run here, but I don't understand it.

Oui, c'est vrai, mais la philosophie de Yunohost est de choisir une configuration pertinente par défaut pour les utilisateurs, et ceux-ci peuvent la modifier si ça leur convient pas, mais sans garantie qu'il n'y aura pas d'écrasement (sauf si ça passe par le config panel).
Le paquet avait fait un choix, probablement pas très bon, de mettre ces deux valeurs à false.
À la limite, on peut rajouter une notification post mise à jour pour leur indiquer ce changement de comportement.

@jonny commendable show of self restraint! If you heard me screaming at trees or dare I say my computer, you'd be excused for expecting the ground to crack open and a hand ablaze with hellish flames reach out for me. I need the power of the #fediverse : For an upcoming presentation I am looking for examples many people will understand where the software caused consumer electronic devices not to work anymore.
E.g. company decided not to update the software which caused the device to stop, company disappeared and e.g. servers not available and therefore the device did not start anymore, etc.
Currently interested in some fresh examples I could use. Any pointers?

Hey @sigchi ! I've only now read about the new "Assisted Desk Rejects" for @chi 2027 (via @tonofcrates ), and I _really_ think this process needs some more transparency: would you please make public a) the "rubric" or prompt, and b) which specific LLM you're using for the process?

Hmm. I'd guess that making this information public would also make it easier for authors to engineer their paper so that it passes the LLM evaluator.
Thus, the human reviewers will get to read papers optimized for LLM classification. Not sure whether this means that papers will get better or worse through this process.

It's been a long journey, but our paper on "AI and Collective Data Governance in Crowdsourced Citizen Science: A Normative Framework Approach" has finally been accepted at HDSR!
My former colleague Ann Borda & I looked at how so-called "AI" systems could impact #CitizenScience and the role that collective data governance could play.
@annehargreaves @wood5y @mkoek @Remittancegirl Wrong, that's NHS *England*. I'm in Scotland. Scotland runs on NHS Scotland, which provides different services. The age guidelines are the same but the process is devolved.
