#CrowUpdate The mystery deepens. Yesterday, I went for a walk in the neighborhood. I saw two "crows by the sea" (does the juvenile still live with its parent? did the parent find a new mate? no idea). They looked at me from the distance, but didn't approach me. No sign of Mr or Ms Crow.
This morning, I left peanuts in their usual hiding spot on the balcony. They were left untouched for a couple of hours (they don't usually last that long), but a few minutes ago, I saw a crow approaching! ⤵️

Should I pursue ADHD medication if my work is not super important?
Yeah sure, reading books or watching movies might get easier, (instead of going down endless rabbit holes), but is it worth it?
@farah I think it's less about the importance of your work, and more about how much trouble and stress your ADHD gives you in your daily life. If you found the right prescription which gave you six or eight hours a day of better (but still imperfect) focus, would it improve your life, overall?
And if you're considering work, consider parenting. Would it help your parenting?
Hang on.
With advances in computing, programming languages, and shared assumptions, "trivial program" is a huge domain now.
Authenticated requests to a server for specific data extracted from text files on disk, in a structured format, pretty-printed, in <100ms? 30 years ago that was a *chore*. Now? 22 lines on my end.
Coding gets more powerful and approachable every day.
Yet someone wants me to rent a fleet of bots to write 5,000 LoC that needs an audit and still doesn't do what I need.
I did a skypirate toy commercial: https://communitymedia.video/w/daqYMgEjAiZyEeKuf499gP
I think it's cute!
I also did one structured for short form video sites.
I don't like short form video sites, but I got a neat effect with the staggered clips.
This one has music from Doctor Deathray.
If you were going to write a Goth/Emo Memoir, what would you name it?
I'll go first:

@RickiTarr Shades of Black: A memoir

Continuing the superpower suicide, the US loses control of all operational command centers in NATO.
Even the American command center in Norfolk will now be run by Europe.
🤡 "… all because of Biden!"

@vampiress It's like we now exist to be a cautionary note in some other reality's episode of Sliders.
As the news industry implodes, @Flipboard is doing everything we can to help independent media and journalists who are starting their own publications. Here's my ode to indy journalism, perfect for Valentine's Day ... or Galentine's ;)
