#CrowUpdate The mystery deepens. Yesterday, I went for a walk in the neighborhood. I saw two "crows by the sea" (does the juvenile still live with its parent? did the parent find a new mate? no idea). They looked at me from the distance, but didn't approach me. No sign of Mr or Ms Crow.

This morning, I left peanuts in their usual hiding spot on the balcony. They were left untouched for a couple of hours (they don't usually last that long), but a few minutes ago, I saw a crow approaching! ⤵️

They don't like to be surprised with me opening the curtain when they're on or near the balcony (the place never feels 100% for them, I guess an escape is difficult once they're on them) but I wanted to be sure of which crow it was. It seems that it was Ms Crow (definitely not Mr Crow nor one of the South Crows). Usually when I surprise her on the balcony, she will just fly to a nearby roof or to the park. But this time, she flew to the park and... over the park and beyond until I lost track! ⤵️

What does it mean? Your guess is as good as mine, but they have clearly been avoiding the park this week (since the fight with the south crows? I haven't seen them in days either) But Mr Crow does sleep in the park at the moment.

I wish I understood what's happening. 😕

@David you need to set up a webcam (crowcam?) on the balcony so you can observe them without surprising them

@piepants That's more trouble than it's worth. The balcony is pretty much the only place where they won't let me observe them as I please.
(and I used to be able to spy on them through the curtains, except that my wife bought new ones last summer when I saw in France, and the new ones are too opaque - my wife overlooked that little detail).

My problem right now is trying to figure out where they spend their days as it's not in their usual hangout places.
